The Unlimited Actor
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is The Unlimited Actor?
A: The Unlimited Actor© (TUA) is an exciting new technique that blends innovative exercises with ancient knowledge for auditions, character development, and unlocking your full creative range. Through color, movement and specific tools you'll first learn to free up your body's subtle energy centers, bringing more radiance, clarity and confidence to your work. Second, you'll learn to shift those centers to exactly match any character you choose to play. The result is complete transformation—physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually—as your acting instincts will naturally align with the character's.
Q: Who is The Unlimited Actor for?
A: TUA method is great for beginning actors as well experienced professionals, and is a powerful supplement to your other training. It will ignite an energy in you that will magnify the other acting techniques you have and bring greater depth and reality to the characters your play. It is also wonderful for dancers, directors, singers, filmmakers, as well as coaches and teachers of these arts—anyone who wants not only greater personal presence and confidence, but a doorway to their unlimited creative potential.
Q: What is Energy?
A: In TUA, by Energy we mean the life force, the vibrant alive pulse that is everywhere and in everything—the air you breathe, the food you eat, the body you inhabit. It is sometimes called chi, or ki, or prana. This life force pulses in and out of our bodies through major energy centers sometimes called chakras, reflecting all the key aspects of our character. By learning to control these centers we can shift our behavior to naturally match the character's.
